	Winterville Police Host Annual National Night Out Rally
	The Winterville Police Department will be hosting its annual National Night Out rally on Tuesday, 8/1/06.  The event will begin at 7 p.m. in front of the town hall to be followed by a leisurely one-mile, candlelight walk.  A trailer with chairs will be available for citizens preferring to ride.  Free candles, balloons, kid’s momentos and water will also be provided. This year’s event will include an open house at the police department from 6:30 – 7:00 p.m. where free child ID kits and gun locks will be available.  Also sign up for free home or business safety/security inspections.              Social, civic, church and any other groups are cordially invited to bring their group and any signs/banners in support of this event.  Contact the Winterville Community Watch coordinator at 756-1105 for more information
